Summer is the Time for Internships
Employers that provide internships have some new rules to follow. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recently relaxed some of the requirements for an internship to be unpaid. However, some very specific requirements are still in place that need to be considered before offering unpaid internships. While the “safest” route to take is offering paid internships, employers should consider all the factors involved – many internships can be unpaid.
